In a highly controversial incident, a Japanese adult video (AV) was filmed in an extremely inappropriate location. Last March, news spread throughout Japan that an AV film had been shot at Sanshinomori Park in Tokyo. While outdoor filming is not uncommon in the AV industry, the problem arose when it was revealed that this park was connected to a nearby primary school.
The presence of young children walking by the park every day on their way to school raised concerns that some of them may have inadvertently witnessed the explicit scenes being filmed. To add to the distress, the primary school’s entrance was even seen in a clip of the adult video. Naturally, residents were outraged and wasted no time in voicing their anger to public officials. One resident was heard shouting, “Such behavior is extremely inappropriate!” Their concerns prompted the park management committee to launch an investigation into the matter. The investigation revealed that the AV studio responsible for the filming, Soft On Demand (also known as SOD), had not obtained permission to shoot in Sanshinomori Park.
The park management committee emphasized the importance of submitting scripts for approval prior to filming, stating that any content deemed inappropriate, violent, or overly intimate is strictly prohibited in the park. In response to the public outcry, Soft On Demand issued a public apology and promptly removed the offending video from circulation. The incident served as a reminder of the need for responsible and respectful filming practices, especially in locations that are frequented by children and families. While this incident may have caused significant distress, it also highlighted the importance of safeguarding public spaces and ensuring that appropriate regulations are in place to protect the well-being of the community.
It is crucial for production companies and filmmakers to adhere to these regulations and exercise sensitivity when choosing filming locations, particularly in areas where the exposure of explicit content could be detrimental to the welfare of children and the broader community.
